How it works
One trade,
start to finish.
Everything a trade will go through when clava opens, in order, with the numbers the program is built with. Today clava is a waitlist.
The short version: clava is not open yet. When it is, your collateral stays a yield-bearing dollar token for as long as your trade is open, and you get the same token back when it closes. The program behind it is written and tested, and these are its rules.
01 · Bring USDCSwap into the vault’s token
Pick a vault: USDY (Treasury bills, Ondo), jlUSDC (lending, Jupiter Lend) or syrupUSDC (credit, Maple). The app swaps your USDC into that token through Jupiter, in its own transaction, and shows the route and its cost before you sign. If you already hold the token, there is nothing to swap.
02 · OpenOn a signed price
The oracle reads the market (three exchanges for crypto, CNBC for stocks, currencies and metals, Polymarket’s order book for predictions), checks the sources against each other and signs the price. Your transaction carries that signature to the program, which verifies it on chain and opens the trade at that price, worse by the market’s spread.
03 · WaitThe token keeps working
Your collateral stays as the token, locked in the program. Its dollar price rises as its issuer pays yield into it. The trade pays a small daily carry. Your take profit and stop loss are stored with the trade on chain.
04 · CloseThe same token back
Close it yourself, or anyone fills your take profit or stop loss the moment a signed price crosses it, for 0.02% of size. The program pays out in the same token. Keep it to keep earning, or swap it back to USDC.
01What the program charges
| Charge | Rate | Paid to |
| Open | 0.08% of size | 80% pool · 20% clava |
| Close | 0.08% of size | 80% pool · 20% clava |
| Carry | 0.01% of size a day (0.005% on currencies) | 80% pool · 20% clava |
| Spread | 0.01%–0.05% each way, 1%–2% on predictions | in the price, to the pool |
| Take profit / stop loss | 0.02% of size | whoever fills it |
| Liquidation | 0.2% of size, at most what is left | whoever liquidates |
| Funding rate | none | · |
02Leverage and hours
| Kind | Up to | Trades |
| Currencies | 20× | Sunday 22:00 to Friday 21:00 UTC |
| Crypto | 10× (Hyperliquid 5×) | always |
| Gold, silver | 10× | the currency week |
| US stocks and ETFs | 5× | while New York is open |
| Predictions | 2× | always, until three days before the question is decided |
When a market is closed the oracle does not sign it, so nothing can be opened, closed or liquidated on it until it reopens. If the oracle ever stopped for 72 hours, the program lets you close at the last price it had.
03Limits that protect both sides
- Most a trade can win: four times its collateral. That amount is set aside from the pool when the trade opens, so a winning trade is always paid.
- Liquidation: when a tenth of the collateral is left, after the close fee and carry. Anyone may liquidate; the rest goes to the pool.
- Per market: no single market may tie up more than a quarter of a vault’s pool.
- Prices: a trade needs a signed price no older than 60 seconds.
04Being the pool
Deposit a vault’s token into its pool and you are the other side of every trade made in that vault. You keep the token’s own yield, take 80% of fees and carry, and are paid what traders lose. You also pay what traders win. You can withdraw any time, down to what open trades have set aside, one hour after your last deposit.
